Dr. Don Bell, Superintendent

Dr. Don Bell Dr. Don Bell has been the Superintendent of Schools since July of 1999.  Prior to coming to Northern Lebanon he served as a classroom teacher, Junior High Assistant Principal, High School Principal, Alternative High School Principal, and Adjunct Professor of Education.
 
He received his teaching degree from Glenville State Teachers College in West Virginia, Master's of Education Degree from Shippensburg University, and Doctor of Education Degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
 
While serving as the Northern Lebanon Superintendent, Dr. Bell has consistently established annual goals for educational standards and curriculum development while remaining focused on the needs of child development.  In addition, the Kids First learning environment has become enhanced utilizing new educational initiatives with little or no tax burden on the property owner.
 
Dr. Bell is married to his high school sweetheart and best friend Lisa. They have been blessed with two wonderful children, and three very dear grandchildren. Including spending most of his time with his family Dr. Bell enjoys watching and participating in all types of sports, hunting, fishing, reading, writing and watching NASCAR.

Mr. Richard Hornberger, High School Principal/Director of Secondary Educational Services

Mr. Richard Hornberger Mr. Hornberger became a part of the Northern Lebanon family in July of 2006.  Before that Mr. Hornberger spent seven years at Steelton-Highspire Elementary School working as a teacher and assistant principal.
 
He graduated from Lebanon Valley College with a degree in Elementary Education.  Later he received his Master's Degree in Teaching and Curriculum along with Principal's  Certification from Pennsylvania State University.  He plans on working on his doctoral degree in the near future.
 
Mr. Hornberger has a wonderful wife named Jenny, a beautiful son named Tyler, and a terrific Cairn Terrier named Dugan who always keeps him busy.  In addition to having a love for kids, education, family, and friends he also thoroughly enjoys playing and watching football, basketball, baseball, and golf.

Ms. Bonnie Bicksler, Assistant High School Principal

Ms. Bonnie Bicksler Ms. Bonnie Bicksler has been the Assistant High School Principal since 2005.  She was a classroom teacher in the high school for 25 years.  She earned her teaching degree from East Stroudsburg State College, Master's of Education from Wilkes University and Master's of Educational Leadership from Wilkes University.
 
Her goal is to have every student have a successful high school experience and receive a quality education.

Mr. David Yavoich, Middle School Principal /Director of Elementary Educational Services

Mr. David Yavoich David Yavoich was named Principal of the Northern Lebanon Middle School in January of 2004.  He holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from The College of New Jersey, a Master's Degree in Education from Bloomsburg University, and Administrative certification from Shippensburg University.  He is also certified as a mathematics teacher and an Instructional Technology Specialist.
 
Prior to his current position, he served as the administrator for the New Covenant Christian School and was also the Assistant Principal at Derry Township High School.  He taught mathematics and coordinated technology in the Pine Grove Area School District and was also a computer analyst for the Hershey Foods Corporation.
 
Mr. Yavoich and his wife are residents of the Northern Lebanon School District where they have raised and educated their four children.

Ms. Marian Robidas, Elementary Principal

Ms. Marian Robidas Marian Robidas joined the Northern Lebanon administrative team in September of 2005 as the principal of Jonestown Elementary School.  She has been in the educational field since 1990, beginning as a resource teacher in the Wilson School District and then signing on with the Reading School District in 1994.  Ms. Robidas's educational background includes classroom teacher, reading specialist, and adjunct math teacher, and Assistant Principal.  She received both her Bachelor's Degree in education and Master's Degree in reading from Kutztown University and her Principal Certification from Alvernia College.  She is currently working on her doctorate in school leadership.
 
Ms. Robidas and her husband Ted have raised four fabulous children, one of whom has recently blessed them with a beautiful grandson.
 
Besides family, faith, and friends,  Ms. Robidas enjoys volleyball, reading, dancing, singing, going to the movies, and of course, the world of education.

Mrs. Melissa McInerney, Elementary Principal

Mrs. Melissa McInerney Mrs. McInerney previously enjoyed teaching fifth and sixth grades in the Central Dauphin School District.  She attended Millersville University where she received her Elementary Education certification.   Later she earned her Master's Degree in Teaching and Curriculum and Principal certification from Penn State University.  She would like to enroll in a doctoral program in the near future and continue her life-long learning.
 
She enjoys the many rewards and challenges of raising four wonderful children and enjoys playing competitive volleyball with her husband.

Dr. Christopher Garchinsky, Elementary Principal

Dr. Christopher Garchinsky Dr. Garchinsky is pleased to be a part of the "Fredericksburg Family."  Throughout his career, he has taught students from kindergarten through college, having focused his career on providing quality educational experiences for learners with disabilities.  Prior to joining Northern Lebanon, Dr. Garchinsky was a special education supervisor in the Mechanicsburg Area School District.

Dr. Garchinsky earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Millersville University in elementary education and special education, his Master of Science degree from The Johns Hopkins University in assistive technology, and his Doctor of Philosophy degree from Drexel University in Educational Leadership.  He serves as an adjunct instructor at Lebanon Valley College and Drexel University.
 
Dr. Garchinsky is a lifelong resident of Lebanon County.  He and his wife, Janet, have two daughters, Caroline and Maria.  The Garchinskys enjoy kayaking, skiing, biking, and volunteering at their church.



Mrs. Renee Tobias, Elementary Principal

Mrs. Renee Tobias Mrs. Tobias began working with children as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist in Child Psychiatry at Hershey Medical Center and Philhaven Hospital.  She then went into teaching and was employed by Susquehanna Township School District for eleven years as a special education teacher and literacy coach.  In 2004, she became the Special Education Supervisor for Palmyra Area School District.
 
She received her Bachelor's Degree in Recreation from Slippery Rock University.  She has a Master's Degree in Recreation and a Master's Degree in Education from Pennsylvania State University.  She received her Special Education Supervisory Certification from Shippensburg University and her Principal Certification from Widener University.  She is currently working on her Doctorate in Curriculum and Staff Development.
 
Mrs. Tobias and her husband Scott, enjoy gardening, reading, movies, and skiing.

Mr. Rob Snyder, Director of Athletics and Supplemental Activities

Mr. Rob Snyder Mr. Snyder graduated from Shippensburg University with a teaching degree.  He taught one year at Palmyra Area Middle School followed by four and one-half years at Fannett-Metal High School.  Before completing his Master's Degree in Education Administration from Shippensburg and his Principal certification, he taught four years in the middle school at Northern Lebanon.  He has been in his current position at Northern Lebanon since 2003.

Mr. Daniel Heckman, Director of Business Affairs

Mr. Daniel Heckman Mr. Heckman graduated from the State University of New York at Albany where he received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting. In previous employment, he worked as an auditor and then as the managing Vice-President of League Marketing Group, Inc., located in Albany, New York. League Marketing Group provided financial services to credit unions throughout New York state. Recently he worked at Shank Door Installation Company where he served as the Manager of Accounting. Mr. Heckman is also an ordained minister of the Pilgrim Holiness Church of NY, Inc.
 
Mr. Heckman and his wife, Sharon, have four children, Joli, Jeanette, Daniel, and Joel.

Ms. Amy Light, Assistant Director of Business Affairs

Ms. Amy Light Ms. Amy Light became a part of the Northern Lebanon administrative team in July 2010. Prior to coming to NL, she spent four years at the First National Bank of Fredericksburg as the Human Resource Manager. She also worked as a manager in her family owned business.
 
Ms. Light is a 1988 graduate of Northern Lebanon, and a 1992 graduate of The King's College, Briarcliff Manor, NY, where she attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She enjoys spending time with her three children and escaping to the beach whenever possible.

Dr. Chad Kinsey, Psychologist/Coordinator of Special Services

Dr. Chad Kinsey Dr. Chad Kinsey serves the district as secondary level School Psychologist and Coordinator of Special Services.  Dr. Kinsey's educational background includes receiving a degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Messiah College, Master's in School Psychology from Millersville University and he completed his doctoral work in school psychology at Indiana University of PA.  Dr. Kinsey is also an ordained minister with the Church of the Brethren.  His work experiences have included MT, BSC, and TSS positions with Philhaven, four years as school psychologist at Fleetwood Area School District, and ten years of experience as a clinical therapist and psychologist at Concern in Fleetwood, PA. 
 
His interests include music, basketball, baseball, skiing, reading, leading church programs, and spending time with his family.  "It is a pleasure and privilege to serve the students of the Northern Lebanon School District".

Mr. Nathan Byler, Director of Technology

Mr. Nathan Byler Nathan Byler became part of the Northern Lebanon administrative team in July 2010 after serving in the district for 6 years as an elementary technology teacher and coordinator of the district's virtual school, the V3 Academy.  Prior to coming to Northern Lebanon, he taught fifth grade and elementary technology in Hillsborough, New Jersey.
 
Nathan is a 1997 graduate of Northern Lebanon and earned his bachelor's degree in elementary education from Lebanon Valley College in 2001. He received his Masters of Education from Wilkes University in 2010.
 
Nathan enjoys spending time with his wife and children and has interests in baseball, football, and music.

Mr. Matt Zeller, Transportation Manager

Mr. Matt ZellerMr. Zeller is a lifelong resident of Lebanon County and currently resides in Lebanon with his wife and three children.  He graduated from ELCO High School and attended Randolph-Macon College in Ashland Virginia where he pursued a degree in mathematics.
 
In 1981 he began as a bus driver and in 1992 he and his wife purchased three buses from a local operator.  Their fleet has grown since that time and now includes more than 30 buses, minibuses, and vans serving students in Lancaster and Lebanon counties.
 
Mr. Zeller is a member of the Pennsylvania School Bus Association, the National Student Transportation Association, and the Lebanon County PennDOT Customer Advisory Board.
 
Matt enjoys hunting, fishing, camping with his family, and spending time at the beach.  He is an avid soccer fan, playing and coaching from the youth to adult level throughout his life.  He and his family are members of Grace United Church of Christ in Richland where he sings in the choir and serves on the church council.

Ms. Michele Dreisbach, Coordinator of Food Services

Ms. Michele Dreisbach Ms. Dreisbach has lived in Fredericksburg most of her life and attended and graduated from Northern Lebanon School District in 1985.  She has worked for the district for eight years, starting as a substitute and then working as the stock clerk for the food service department.  She has four wonderful children that keep her busy all the time  and her interests include swimming, walking, camping and riding rollercoasters.

Mr. Paul Snyder, Coordinator of Custodian/Maintenance Services

Mr. Paul Snyder Paul Snyder has been a Northern Lebanon School District resident all of his life.  He graduated in 1981 and starting working for the district 4 days later.  Paul has worked on the grounds mowing and painting the athletic fields.  As people retired, he moved up into maintenance postitions. 
Paul has been involved with the Lickdale Fire Company for 27 years and been the fire chief for the past 6 years. 
 
He enjoys snowmobiling with his wife and skiing with friends.
