  • http://50ideas.wikispaces.com/ - Math teachers have created a Wiki for posting activities, lessons, tip, tricks, etc. from these training days. It is a protected Wiki site, so only authorized users can edit or add content, but we’ll authorize users as they request. Anyone can view and use the content on the site.

  • Manipula Math with Java - Interactive programs that you can manipulate and a lot of animation that helps students grasp the meaning of mathematical ideas.
  • jimbowebquest- This activity was used with remedial math students to look at patterns by solving and play games.
  • Sample General Math WebQuest: This webquest is was created for a new program being offered to "at risk" 9th graders at Manheim Central, Donegal, and E-town school districts. The program is a project based integrated program for Math, Science, and Language Arts. The topics in this webquest include Pythagorean Theorem, reading a ruler, proportions, surface area, and volume.

  • Winplot - has a decent set of capabilities that apply to calculus. it doesn't even need to be installed by the IT dept. the .exe can be placed on a shared
    drive and run without any installation whatsoever!
    Especially useful for the sections on approximating areas under
    curves with upper and lower rectangles which eventually leads to the
    definite integral.
